Work in swiss with danish PR
Hi Experts,
I have Permanent Danish Residence Permit.I am getting a contract job in Switzerland for 3 months. Since, it is for 90 days only, am I allowed to work in another schengen member country without acquiring any work permit there and also without surrendering my Danish PR. Also, will Swiss immigration allows so?
please guide

Re: Work in swiss with danish PR
You need to ask swiss immigration. But a Danish work permit is not valid for work in any other country than Denmark unless Switzerland has laws that allow it.

Re: Work in swiss with danish PR
thank you, skaanebo
so it means that danish authorities will not have any problem if I work in another schengen country as long as I dont take up residency there.
Now when you say that I should inquire Swiss immigration that will they allow me to work there, is it not true that since I have Danish PR, I can stay in any schengen country for 90 days continuously?

No, temporary visits of 90 days do not require that you deregister your address in Denmark as long as you have still set up a home in Denmark.
You can travel freely within the Schengen area for up to 90 days in each country. But a work and residence permit in Denmark DOES NOT allow you to work in any other country unless specified by that country's own laws.

Re: Work in swiss with danish PR
is this condition of work and residence permit apply to Permanent Residence Permit also? (sorry for asking if it is stupid question)
earlier I had work and residence permit (temporary residence permit) tied to my employer and it had a condition that if I take work with any other company in denmark then I must apply for new permit or if I take work in any other country then permit will die automatically.

Re: Work in swiss with danish PR
It doesn't make any difference if it is permanent or not. If you wish to work in Switzerland you will most likely have to apply for a Swiss work permit.
