Family members to Union citizens/EEA nationals who are seeking employment are not to apply for a registration certificate or a residence card.

What does that mean? you cannot apply for residence card if you are looking for a job?

On statsforvaltningen's page it says:"Family member

Family members who accompany or join a person belonging to one of the above categories may also get a registration certificate. But it is a condition that the person having the primary right of residence has established real and actual residence in Denmark.

If the family member is not an EU or EEA citizen, a residence card will be issued."

It's usual practise that in order to obtain a residence card, you have to have a job, be a student, a pensioner or a self sufficient person. So if you are merely travelling to someplace to look for a job, you can only register once you have actually succeeded in getting a job.

is that mean as a spouse I need to have a job as a non eu person before applying for resident card? in that case the employers wont give a job unless u have some sort of permit. right?

If your spouse is not Danish, but some other EU-citizen, who is looking for a job in DK, then you cannot get an EU-residence card.

Then your wife is not 'looking for work' in DK, she is working in DK.

When you come to DK, where I assume she lives, you go to 'statsforvaltningen' and apply for an EU-residence card. Your wife will know where and how, because she must have done it herself.

We went and applied for resident card. They lady said I need to be legal in Dk to apply for the resident card and I said I got rejected in May and appealed and haven't heard from them. She took the application and wondering if police visit at my home and ask me to leave what should I do? I also showed here this

we just got a letter asking for house renting agreement. Is that required? on europa site it says no documents are to requested?

Well - you need to show that you are allowed to register your address, and one way of proving it is to show a renting contract in your name. Another could be showing a title deed in your name.

You should be aware that anyone can actually register themselves at 'Folkergisteret' at any address they like.

One user here found out the hard way that some guy she had never seen had registered himself as living in her apartment - that held up her case of family reunification by quite some time, as the US did not find that she had a right to fr, as she obviously (to them) was living with someone other than her husband.
