Barsel and permanent residence permit

Hi every one all
I am a Non-EU citizen on work permit (since 5 years) and currently on paternity leave (barseldagpenge) till april 2015. I have a question regarding Permanent residence permit.
I wish to apply Permanent residence permit this month, as i fullfill all the requirements.(Pd2, 3 years full time work) My question is, is it possible to apply residence permit now or shall i have to wait 5 more months to apply (i will be starting again my job from april).

PUT is a Swedish abbreviation that only adds to the confusion when it is being used in a Danish context.

In Danish: tidsubegrænset opholdstilladelse, permanent residence permit.
