Travel in Europe while no resident permit

Does anyone know if I may travel within Europe while in Denmark waiting for family reunion? My Shengen visa has expired, but the resident permit is still being processed (processuelt ophold).

When your visa is expired , then you most stay in Denmark until you got resident permit .
