Re: New Rule of Permanent Residence
A law proposal about permanent residenceship has been send in hearing just today. The hearing deadline is 16/04 2012, and the proposed date of effect is 01/06 2012. If the law is approved, applications handed in after 01/06 2012 will be treated after new rules, while applications handed in before that date will be treated after existing rules except for the requirement about "medborgerskab". The main content of the law proposal is similar to, what is written in "Regeringsgrundlaget".
* The applicant must have stayed legally in Denmark for 5 rather than 4 years
* Their will be no requirement about "medborgerskab"
* Their will be no requirement about "additional 15 points" by eg. working 4 years rather than 2½
* The requirement of "full time work" will be changed from 2½ years within 3 years to 3 years within 5 years
* Education can replace "full time work"
* The requirement of passed language test will be lowered from dansk 2 to dansk 1
These are the main changes. The law proposal is not yet publisted on Høringsportalen, but can be expected to be so within a few days.

Re: New Rule of Permanent Residence
Hi,
Can you please tell definition of 'full time work' according to new rules?
How many ECTs will be equivalent to one year work?
I am issued Green Card under the current rules of Permanent Residence (4 year etc). I understand if new rule apporves, i will also apply PR under new rule (5 years etc)
Advance thanks for help:)
Cheers

Re: New Rule of Permanent Residence
According to the new law (which took effect in July), full time work is defined as 30 hours per week (on average) or more. The requirement can also be partly or totally filled by taking an education full time. 60 ECTS credits (the usual credit load for 2 full semesters) is equal to one year of full time employment.

Gæld til de offentlig
Hi, I have applied for permanent residence and I have just received a rejection because I declared that I have a debt of 24000 to the public authorities(SKAT) though I fulfil all the requirements. I have been given 8 weeks to complain. Can anyone advice me what to do?
thanks in advance

Re: New Rule of Permanent Residence
Pay up your debt maybe? Then you don't have that problem anymore.
Maybe you can get a bank loan instead if you don't have the cash?

Re: New Rule of Permanent Residence
Was your tax debt overdue for payment? If not, then you should not have declared it.
