Hi again its me Help!
Finally i have stayed away from my husband and temporarily staying from a friend. Currently, i am still enrolled in an engineering degree 2nd semester in a university but i wasnt able to attend it but i have a consent and support from my head teacher.
The question is, is it a positive result for me to apply for a student and working visa while im still holding a 2 years family reunification visa that will expire this dec. 17, 2012?
It states in the nyi.danmark that "Please note that a foreign student in Denmark may not receive public assistance / benefit payments. If you do so, your residence permit can be revoked"... Is SU is a form of public assistance / benefit payments? Because i have called the immigration about this, and she said that SU is one form to show that i can support myself. Now im just confuse with the two statement. Because I am actually receiving SU and SU loan.
Since, i have not attended my 2nd semester fully, is it possible if the school will indicate in the form that i will start next year 2013 jan up to 3 years to complete the entire educational program? Wherein my visa expires dec. 2012?
Please help on this, and i hope my statement is clear and understandable. Thank you very much.
Apply Student Visa under Family Reunification
Re: Apply Student Visa under Family Reunification
SU (study grant) is not considered social welfare, so as long as you are able to get by on your study grant without asking for any kind of help from the social authorities in your muncipality, you will be fine.

Hi, thank you for this very firm information. Now, what if I am going to ask the school to have me transfer my education to one of the university in Sweden, would that be possible? Will i still receive the SU from Denmark? Thanks.skaanebo skrev:SU (study grant) is not considered social welfare, so as long as you are able to get by on your study grant without asking for any kind of help from the social authorities in your muncipality, you will be fine.

Probably not:

"In order to get the SU student grant for an education abroad you must be a Danish citizen. The only exception concerns EU citizens, who may obtain support for studies abroad on equal terms with Danes in accordance with community law."
