Moving back to DK

Indlæg af AbeOrtega » 07.11.2011 15:46:21

Hello.

I have a few questions I hope you can help me solve.

My wife and I have been living in Malmö for four months, she is Danish and I'm Mexican and would like to return to Denmark following the rules of the EU.

We have in mind to apply in January 2012, she has a job, we have an apartment and I think we have enough evidence that we had an actual residence in Sweden ,we followed the rules very well.

My question is this:

Once you apply in Denmark, I as a foreigner have the right to study and work? or Do I have to wait until I have de residence card in Denmark?

You have to wait for the permisson eventhough you in theory have the right....but hard to prove.
In DK you can not get your Cpr nr untill you have gotten your permission to stay and verything in DK is build on the cpr nr

Why not apply for a residence card now, if you plan on moving in january? Then the waiting time will be shorter.

The processing may take no longer than 6 month, starting from the date you applied.
