If your danish wife fulfill the conditions for having a right to free movement under EU-law in Sweden, you have a right to work, as soon as you have moved there. If she do not fulfull these conditions, you only have a right to remain in Sweden for 3 month as a kind of turist.

Please read "jeg vil..... flytte til Sverige/EU-land". It is in danish language, but I am sure, that your wife can help you to translate.

In order to work in Sweden, you need a swedish personnummer, which you get from Skatteverket. So if you already have a job offer on hand, you should go to Skatteverket, and your wife should document, that she fulfill the conditions for having a right to free movement under EU-law in Sweden.

This is she same documentation, that she must hand in, when you apply for a residence card (opholdskort) at Migrationsverket. Rental contract, payroll slips, marriage contract etc.

thanks for reply.
look we have been to skatevarkat and register my wife there. and she just got her person number last friday.
but there in skatevarkat when we wanted to register me as well they told me that i need my opholdskort first.
and u know that it takes long time yo get an opholdskort from immigrationvarkat.
now i am kind of confused that when you say i need a persionnumber for being able to work here means that i have to go through all this first before start working?
or i can start working after being in immigrationvarkat?

Some people have been able to get a personnummer from Skatteverket, before they had their residence card from Migrationsverket. However this is obviously dubble work, since Skatteverket then have to look at all the same papers as Migrationsverket. So naturally Skatteverket prefer, that people just wait, until Migrationsverket have finished their work. Which does not always take a long time. Many people have had their residence card issued after a few weeks or even days, if the case is obvious and no documents are missing.

But if you already have a job offer on hand, then you just have to try and push things either at Skatteverket or at Migrationsverket. Your potential employer can also help to push things, and frankly I do not think, that Swedish authorities have any interest in sabotaging the welfare of their own companies. So I think they are willing to put the processing of your case forward, if it is really nessesary in order for you to start work in Sweden immedeatly.

If on the other hand you do not have an actual job offer on hand, then just wait until you get your papers, and spend your time and effort on more important and constructive things than worrying about that. The lack of such papers do not hamper your search for a job in any way, as an employer will of course only ask for them if and when you have already agreed on an employment contract.

And for most people it surely takes much longer to find a job, than it takes for Migrationsverket to issue an opholdskort. It is almost never the work of Migrationsverket, which is the limiting factor here.
