Hello once again.
After reading your forum everyday, a lot of questions coming into my mind.
Ok, I was married with a Danish man and used his Danish Family Name. In my Cpr in Denmark Im still using his family name. Now, I am living in my country after being udvist pga skilsmissen. In my country, I am using my single efternavn (which is written in my passport)
The questions are*
In applying for new Family Reunification, do I need to use my original family name written in my passport, or the name based on my CPR?
And what about my CPR, do we need to write my CPR NOS in the Application forms?
Waiting for your answers.

Re: FAMILY NAME/EFTERNAVN
You should write the name you are given in your passport.
You should also write the CPR-number.
In DK it is yours 'for ever'. It will only be changed if you have a sex-change operation
Thus you will NOT be given a new CPR-number next time you get residence-permit, nor if you remarry.

Re: FAMILY NAME/EFTERNAVN
Thanks for your reply.
But the Surname Registered in my CPR is the surname of my xhusband.
And the surname written in my pas, still my single surname..... they are not the same..
Maybe the US will be confused if I use my single name, when infact the other relevant documents to be attached is under my xhusband surname......
åhhhh,, hard for me to explain, but I hope you get my point

Re: FAMILY NAME/EFTERNAVN
You only have one correct name at any given time. When you marry and decide to take your husband's name, you should have changed your passport accordingly and made sure the change of name was registered in your home country as well.
Your previous surname is no longer valid and you shouldn't be using it accordingly.
After you divorce you can by Danish law decide to either keep your husband's name or change back to using your previous surname but you will have to notify the authorities in both Denmark and your country of residence again.
Am I correct that you prefer to use your previous surname again now that you have divorced? in that case you should simply notify the Danish authorities (CPR-registret) of your wish to do so.

Thank you very much for your reply,.
Yes, since I am now living in my country, I decided to use my surname which is written in my pas.
And when I applied for a Tourist Visa last February 2011, I also used my surname in my pas.
My only concerned is, when I need to apply for a New Family Reunification, I want to use my surname not my x husband.
And yes youre right, I will inform the Kommune when I comeback to correct it, to avoid problems or delays....
Thanks a lot,.,,,,
