I WAS REFUSED BASED ON RESTSKAT, I NEED ADVISE

I have been refused based restskat accruing from the working year in 2014 (18890 dkk)... SKAT granted me the option to pay the money as a bulk payment by 1st of July 2015 or it was going to be calculated as part of my tax for 2016. Now decision concluded i had an overdue debt, which came as surprise to me given that i did not make a new agreement with SkAT, i simply chose the realistic payment schedule offered to me as i was studying and working at the time i was notified by SKAT.

According to the requirements on nyidanmark.dk

Taxes and levies, unless the amount in arrears is due to circumstances beyond the applicant’s control. will not be used against an applicant.

If you have been granted an extension of repayment, it means that the creditor (the state or municipality) has given you (the debtor) permission to postpone the repayment of the debt until after the original due date. For example, the tax administration (SKAT) may award you an extension of payment.

It is therefore unimaginable to me that a decision of refusal can be reached. I intend to appeal this decision, because i feel the provision of the law was not adhered to here.

Please i need your help and advise.

Your problem does not really have much to do with marriage, does it?

It seems there is a misunderstanding between you and whoever it is, who refused you (I presume extension of residence permit). If you have proof of an agreement between you and SKAT about the arrear, then show it to the concerned institution.
