German citizen living in Denmark and American Student

First of all ty for providing this wonderful site. I think I already got the point of my issue from the splendid information here, but want to be as sure as possible, so, I'll ask you about this:
I'm living and full time working in Denmark since August 6, 1986, but originally and still German citizen. She is American citizin coming to Denmark at an internship to fullfill studies in Denmark apr. in November 2012. She will then be 24 years old. There is an age difference of 31 years between us, our love is so huge, that there are no doubts in any of us and we are not married. We want to establish a together live in Denmark and she would be supported with her own founds for about 18 month. Did I get the following right:

1. According to EU-rules, I have to provide a guarantee of Dkr. 100.000.- for her social securance and riscs of getting unemployed or whatever.
2. I have to sign a document, ensuring that I will supply her living and other costs at "Statsforvaltningen".
3. We don't need to give prove of a together flat or house.
4. She has to get cpr-registered after latest after 3 months of residence in Denmark.
5. She doesn't need to take the langusge test, even it might be a good idea.
6. When her studies are finished she could establish her own office in her field.
7. Anything I'm missing ... ?

Well, if you want to use the EU regulations on family reunification, you should not mix the entirely Danish regulations into it. There will be no banking guarantee, there will be no age demand, there will be no "point system" to fullfill.

For your girlfriend it is correct, that she do not need to go to language school. She can if she want, but there is no obligations. And because you and her is not married to each other, you have to wait until she has been in your household for at least 18 month. After that, your girlfriend would have the same benefits and the same rights as any other married third-country citizen.

But of course you need to divorce before you can apply for reunification with your girlfriend.

1. No these are danish rules not EU-rules. Like Kim say, don´t mix them together.
2. That would be a possible solution, if she was a EU-citizen. However she is not. So in order for her to have a right of residence after EU-rules, the two of you need to be married.
3. Correct if you use EU-rules.
4. No she need to apply for a residence card at latest 3 month after her arrival. And after you are married already.
5. Correct. Its hardly of any relevance for her to take the current "immigration test" or the planned future "stop test", that will replace this one for people, who seek family reunification under danish national rules, since these are mostly just ment to prevent family reunifications or as some sort of "signal policy" directed at the woters. The final tests, which complete the 3 year integration programmme, (dansk 1, dansk 2 or dansk 3) are however usefull in daily live in Denmark, since they open doors to the job market, education system etc., so these are definitly worth taking as well as the integration programme itself.

If you will be divorced by the time your girlfriend arrives, and if she already has her residence permit in place in connection with her internship and education, you will be able to use the EU-rules after having lived together for app. 18 months.

Unless you marry, you will not be able to help her to a short-cut to residence permit, if that was what you were thinking.
