Hi again, after getting the CENOMAR and My birth Certificate with a DFA stamp ( it took my brother to get coz of the old system we have in pinas), What should i get next? I've been troubled because i don't find any accurate website that tells the marriage requirements in sweden for a filipina. Is my Cenomar and Birth Certificate with DFA stamp enough? Help!!

Call the authorities in sweden that has to issue your marriage license. It is them that best knows if the documents that you have are enough for them, and them that has to approve them in the end.

The DFA stamp and red ribbon is only the first step in the legalization proceduce. The next and final step is a similar stamp from the embassy or consulate of the country, in which the papers are supposed to be used, in this case Sweden.

It is possible, that swedish authorities might accept papers from the philippines without a complete legalization of these, but since you have started the procedure already, why not just finish it, so that there is no more dought and no more questions to be asked?

At the danish consulates in Philippines, the fee for a legalization is 175 DKK and processing time is 3 days, but can be immidiate, if the consule is present at the time of application. I would guess, that processing time and fees are somewhat similar at the swedish embassy or consulate.

that's nice to hear about the stamp. The thing is i'm here in denmark illegal and i don't know if it will affect the stamping procedure since, my relative in the philippines is helping me to get it. I just made an authorization letter for them to process it until it's finish, It just confuses me that im not there to get the stamp from the swedish embassy. I have no idea wether if they going to ask for me, for my address and some questions i really can't provide for the moment.

The legalization is only a conformation, that the person signing the paper at (in this case) the NSO was actually working there at the time, when she signed, and was authorized to do so. And therefore the swedish embassay or consulate do not care at all, where you are, or why you are there. If the person doing the processing for you is asked, the very simple answer is just "she is abroad", and really then I can not imagine, there will be any further questions, as to why you do not process yourself.

i m in doubt about why would swedish immigration office ask twice for the same documents. We sent them what they required but they sent as official paper with invitation to the interview and to bring the same papers which we have already provided them ( employment cerificate, traveling tickets, insurance)

What are you in doubt about? Just go there and bring the documents. If you don't, it is possible that your application will be refused.

that's a very good point, im just full of confusion, can't think clearly especially at this situation i've never imagined. One more, do you know how much it will cost to have these stamps on both papers (Birthcertificate and CENOMAR)?

well, we are going next week, i was just surprised to receive an interview invitation because i ve read a lot of forums and didnt hear that it was part of procedure. so i just wanted to know if it is a part of it or we are exceptions?

The price from the danish consulates in Cebu or Manila is 175 DKK for each document. I don`t know the swedish fees, but they are probably of a similar magnitude. You might want to inquire at the swedish municipality, where you plan to get married, if they really need the stamp from swedish consulate, or if the verification from DFA is enough. I am currently processing a marriage certificate at Københavns Kommune, and it looks like they will accept just the DFA verification, in which case my wife will safe not only the 175 DKK but also a daytrip going to either Cebu or Manila, which is not particularly near in the place, where she live.

Not everybody applying for family reunification or residence card after EU-rules are called for an interview, so it is not "standard", but it is not that unusual either. When it happen, it must be because authorities feel the need to clarify some issues. Like if your marriage is a genuine and voluntary one, if you really live in Sweden, if your relationship is a serious one, if you are not married, or similar matters. Whatever the reason just go there and answer the questions, you are asked.

thanks to fundiver and mh. for helping us and giving brillian advice to move to sweden. we had an interview, i was asked questions about accomodation in sweden. the answers we gave were sattisfying.
now we would like to apply in denmark under eu rules, we have been in sweden 3 months , do we still need to be there and pay the rent while waiting for permission for residence card in denmark or 3 months of payslips of rent is enough?, including transportation details and leese agreement?

Its up to you, but how nice would it be, if you transfer to Denmark now, and then in - say - 6 month time from now, you get a letter from Udlændingestyrelsen telling you, that in their opinion, your spouse has not genually transferred to Sweden, because he only planned a very short and temporary stay there from the beginning, and therefore they do not consider, that you have a right to stay in Denmark?

So please leave the country within 30 days or file a complaint within 7 days and then wait for up to 13 month for Justitsministeriet to handle this complaint. Would you find this an attractive prospect? Or would you prefer to wait in Sweden, so that this risk is removed, and when you finally move to Denmark, the waiting is finished, and you can start the free language course after a few weeks as well as looking for jobs etc.?

Unless you really hate the place, you live currently, or the rental contract is soon to expire, or there is some other really urgent reason, why you must move now, to me it is a bit of a nobrainer to apply first and move later. And in particular when the duration of your stay in Sweden is so short, that it is really borderline at the moment.
