Hi All,

I have been married 3.5 years to a danish citizen and I am thinking of moving out--therefore breaking the cohabitation rule.

I have been on a family reunification visa for the past 3 years and since then I have attained a masters from a danish university and have just gotten a full time well paying job. I have called up udlaeningstyrlsen and they said that once I move out, they will create a case to decide whether or not I can remain in Denmark.

Question is: What are the chances of me being able to stay in DK? / What are my best options?

Background info: I have no kids.

Maybe your job is on the 'positive list'. Codes and categories are only shown in Danish.

You can apply, even though you have a residence permit.

Thanks mh! I can also apply for the pay limit scheme but is there any possibility that I can remain on my current visa?

Your permit is valid until cancelled, so you can stay in DK and your job until the new permit is in your pocket. It does not get cancelled automatically, nor without your knowledge.
