By the way Fundiver,
It happenned that Dimitrios Kontizas, Head of the Coordination of Social Security Schemes, Free movement of workers at the European Commission was yesterday in Paris and it happenned that I hold a very interesting and very free discussion with him.
Commission is strong if citizens are strong.
Now this is coming from me and not from him :
In Athen, it was for long three different kinds of people : the Athenians, the wogs (strangers with skills) and the slaves. The wogs are back with the European Blue Card Directive for qualified strangers that was just adopted yesterday by the European Council (final approval in october). They have the choice to go to Canada, Australia ... and they will come to Europe only if they can live here with their family. So they will have much greater rights than us in order to make their family to come to live in Europe. Skilled Foreign Families need appartments, schools and low visibility.
Who do you think is asked to leave free place for them ?
The boat, fundiver, the boat !
I will speak to you about the slaves next time. The name of the proposed directive is quite ironic : "common set of rights for migrants". Not so long before, in America, it was called "segregation".
