I agree with Jens: No need that you start fighting each other ower this. Besides that, I DO think that it is both fair and a good idea to call Udlændingeservice or any other authority, if you have filed an application and nothing is happening.
Don`t be afraid to "waste their time". If they are not doing anything about your application, then it really is THEIR problem, that you need to call them again and again. To decide in a matter of "familiesammenføring" really should take no more than a few weeks, so if nothing has happened after a month, then surely it must be because some information is lacking? Or?
I know many cases about visa application, where the embassy in question did absolutly nothing, and only when pressed really hard did they actually do their work.
I am sure that very often it is exactly the same with "Udlændingeservice". If the reason for this is, that they are understaffed, that they are lazy, that they are incompetent, or that they just want to horrass applicants, I really don`t know. And frankly, it is not our problem.
If our cases are not taken properbly care of, then we are in our good right to call them frequently and ask why nothing is happening in a case, that to us looks like it is really simply and easy to solve. Frankly, how hard can it be to put a "yes" or "approved" stamp on an application? And if they don`t have time to do any more than that - well then thats just what they need to do!
End of story!
