A large age difference is not in itself a reason for rejecting you the right to a family reunion in Denmark. However, for some idiotic reason, that I can not explain, the danish government believe, that people are unlikely to fall in love with someone more than 8-10 years below or above their own age.
They will therefore automatically assume, that there is extra reason to believe, that your marriage is a so called "pro-forma marriage", i.e. a marriage that only has the purpose of getting you into Danmark. Where you are alledgedly going to work illegally as a prostitute, eat small children or whatever nonsens, they can think of.
And it is YOU, not them, who have the burden of proof, that this is not the case. You therefore need to go to extra length to prove, that you really know each other and are married "for real". Which can be done by giving copies of phone bills, pictures taken of you together, airtickets, hotel bills and whatever else, you can think of, to the ironically named government office "Udlændingeservice" (foreigner service).
Even if you do all that, you should still expect, that Udlændingeservice will spend up to 7 month to treat your case, since your case will be put in the "not obvious cases" pile, which basically means, that their "service target" is 7 month instead of 3 month. In other words, your case will be given a lower priority and spend a lot more time gathering dust on a table, simply because you are 16 years younger than your husband.
