I am a filipina, now here in denmark for tourist visa ,my bf and i plans to get marry here in order for me to stay here in denmark.
We went to the kommune for marriage application but problem is they want me provide then the copy of my Divorce Decree or Entry Of Judgement when its in philippines(ANNULMENT OF MARRAIGE) they said it must be Legalized BY the Ministry of Foriegn Affairs and Local Danish EDmbassy in Philippines.
We send the papers back to philippines and waiting again for the DFA or deparment of foriegn affairs to authenticate it and the embassy sine we want to follow the rule.
Our problem is my tourist visa will be end next month any suggestion if i it is possible to Get an authentication in PHILIPPINE CONSULATE HERE IN DENMARK FOR the authentication since that documents is already authenticate by teh supreme court of the PHilippines.IT takes time for the Department of Foriegn affrair in philippines to do it.I read over the website the embassy her in denmark can do the authentication.pls help....

I'm sorry to disappoint you, but there is no embassy here in denmark, there is a consular outreach programme - or used to be at least - which helps people who need to renew their passports and cannot afford the time/money to go to Norway, but that's it.

But on the upside, you'll only have to wait for 3 months before you can come back, and the norwegian embassy in manila are becoming regular pros at handling visa applications in a timely manner from what i hear

And if your BF goes to the Philippines you can get married there and you can apply for Familiesammenføring (Familyreunification) and you won't have to go through that once you're back here in Denmark The wait for visa and Familyreunification are the same under normal circumstances.

My advice to you is, take the time to let the relationship mature - see if it's still the same once you're back in the Philippines - it's hard to be all alone in a foreign country if things don't work out...

You can try to ask the filippine embassy in Norway (Oslo), if they can help you to obtain the necessasy papers. But I am afraid, that it is only possible to get these divorce papers in the Philippines. So it should have been taken care of, before you went to Denmark.

We have an old saying in Denmark that goes something like this, if you translate it in english:

"injury makes you wise but rarely rich".

I guess that expression is fitting here, since in all likelyhood this mistake will cost you another return airticket MNL-CPH and another visa application fee etc.
