Processing times after receiving StamKort

Hi,

I was wondering if anybody has a similar case to mine. My Danish wife and I applied for my DK residence under EU-rules while still living in Germany. 2 weeks after we submitted our application at the embassy in Berlin, we received a letter stating that I would be receiving a residence permit for 5 years. Enclosed in the letter was a small cardboard card called "StamKort" and it requested a signature from me and a passport photo, to be mailed back to Udlaendingeservice.

We sent the Stamkort back immediately and now we are just waiting. My question is, how long after submitting the Stamkort, does the actual residence permit arrive if you are still based in another EU country?

I've tried searching other posts to no avail.

Certainly patience is a virtue, but having a time estimate wouldn't hurt

I am going to Århus to a meeting today, where the Immigration Service is host. Then I can ask the guys there, so you get the exact answer. If OK for you.

The expert on EU-regulations said, it normally take 2-3 weeks to get the stamkort back.

Ours within Denmark took 6 weeks....so 2-3 weeks I consider a good joke ! Did you receive it in the meantime ?

Unsurprisingly, it did not come within 2-3 weeks.

Here's a chronology of the events:

May 2nd: Submitted application at Embassy in Berlin
May 15th: Received letter from US that I've been accepted, immediately I send back the StamKort.
June 24th: We move to Denmark.
July 29th: We receive my residence card in the mail.

Funnily, the letter with the residence card attached to it was dated July 7th but not posted till end of July.

I presume they wanted to wait till the last moment of their "guaranteed" processing times, in our case 3 months, should something deter us from moving or staying in Denmark.
