Hi, I am EU citizen, living in DK for over 7 years, with full time job. My girlfriend is from Russia. We would like to marry. It was easy part. Now, my questions:
1. Step-by-step: I send her invitation, promising to cover all the costs, attaching my residence permit and apartment contract. She applies for visa. If she gets Shengen visa C, we can apply for this marriage permission. If we get it (it can take several months?), we need to find quickly place to marry, and get appointment at Udlændingestyrelsen, and change her visa C for another visa which allows her to stay. What will go wrong?
2. To get permission to marry in DK, she needs to have a Shengen visa. If she doesn't have visa, we can't apply for the permission. But it is very difficult now to get visa for Russians. What are our options if she doesn't get visa to Denmark? Is it possible for us to marry in third country (like Georgien) and then the marriage is accepted in Denmark?

Marriage Russian partner now
Re: Marriage Russian partner now
You can marry in almost any country in the world that will give your fiancé a visa or visa free entrance. Among these are the nearby countries Georgia, Azerbaijan, Armenia and Turkey. You must consult the embassy pages for what you documentation you will need to provide in order to get permission to marry in the country. Turkey for example wants a doctor's certificate proving that neither of you are suffering from certain diseases, but you can easily get it in Turkey.
Your marriage license must the be translated, if it is not multiple language, one of them English (Turkey will give an international license to foreigners), and legalised by apostille (the 4 mentioned countries are all apostille contries).
