Family reunification renewal and staying outside.

Hi guys.
I am not an European citizen and i have temporary residence permit based on family reunification. It will expire on 19 july 2018.
I submitted for renewal 2 days ago and it will take 7 months for processing. Today i left the country because i working in another country outside europe .After every 5 months and 20 days i come back to Denmark to visit my wife .
Now i am planning to enter Denmark on 1st of january 2019. Do you i need to apply for a tourist visa or what because my residence permit renewal under process.

You should have applied for a "Tilbagerejsetiladelse" with the Udlændingestyrelsen BEFORE you left the country. You will face the risk of getting turned back at the airport.

Please also remember whatever income you make in the other country, you have to pay Danish income tax on it as you are registered as a resident of Denmark.

As for the visa/permit issue, you will need to contact the Danish embassy to get a visa sticker in your passport in order to be able to return as planned.

You mean i can apply for a tourist visa to come back within 6 months ?

No. It is not called a "tourist visa". You can apply for the visa sticker that you ought to have applied for before leaving the country. The visa sticker will only have a validity of maybe one week. The only purpose of it will be that it allows you to fly back to Denmark.
