Help me pls

Indlæg af vnvista » 02.03.2018 21:04:48

I'm going to university in Denmark. And I have boyfriend who is living in Denmark. But he doesn't have permanent residence permit, he has only residence permit. He came in Denmark, when he was 16 years old (for family reunification as a child, because his mother came to Denmark first and she wanted to take him to live with her in Denmark). Now we are 23 years old, and im so falling in love with him. We are considering living together in Denmark. But we dont know how to do it, and i am worried about our situation and my residence permit as student is about to expire in this year. i really want to ask: Can we marry now and i can live with him in Denmark for rest of my life? Cause i dont want to leave him. Can someone help me or advise me what to do now?

Thank you so much!!

P/s: He is not danish. He has completed education as an electrician

You will need to state your own nationality and his nationality.

You can get married, but since he does not have permanent residence, you cannot apply for family reunification in DK.

First of all: He would have to have permanent residence. Secondly: Since both of you are under 24, you do not yet qualify age-wise. And the rules may have changed to - from your point of view - worse, before you qualify.

Are you a Master's student? If so, maybe you can get an establishment card after graduating. If you want to stay in DK, your best chance is to find a job before you graduate or prepare to start your own business.
