Permanent residence application, if man become unemployed

Hi

I submitted my permanent residence application 4 months and 15 days back and it is still in processing. The processing time is 8 months. My company has fired me and my notice period is 4 months. As I am going to get unemployed after 4 months. Is I am still eligible for permanent residence or not! Vey confused

It's not as simple as that to answer your question.

First off, if they reach a decision while you are still employeed, you should be fine. So just hope for the best.

Secondly, if they haven't reached a decision by the time you are out of your job, your best bet is to find another job fast. It can be any job.
