Family Reunification and baby is coming in February

Hello,Am from Uganda and My wife is Danish got married here in Uganda and certificate certified by Danish embassy. Applied for family reunification late september from the Norwegian embassy and she submitted her documents early october and my wife also submitted all documents including that shows the pregnancy. some one says it may take six months to get family reunification and yet i read 3 months from all the major sources of information. Am afraid i may not be there when my wife is giving birth.

There isn't anything you can do except wait. It takes the time it takes, pregnancy does not make any difference.

What makes a difference is whether you made sure that you fulfil all requirements and took care to deliver all necessary documentation.

thanks i know i have put all the documents that they want and also putting in mind other qualifications but my only concern is on the time. is it true that after you have got the response in most cases if not a complicated one is 3 months and depositing the 50,000 Kroner it takes another 3 months to be allowed to move there

If it's imperative for you to be together when your wife gives birth, you might also want to consider her travelling to you in Uganda and to have the child there. Or any other place that you can easily travel to.
