Hi all,
I have applied for family reunification under EU law as I was living with my Danish boyfriend for almost 2 years in another EU country. Now we're here and I'm just wondering what to do with myself. I have asked statsforvaltningen on the phone, in person and also in person at the international house if I could work during my waiting time and I've received 3 different answers ranging from complete yes to yes, but only if unpaid to complete no. In some forums I've seen people saying that the difference between applying for the reunification under the EU and the Danish law is that with the first I'm both allowed to work and take Danish classes. Does anyone can tell me by experience if that is true? And where can I find in an official page this? I've searched A LOT but just can't find it.
An important thing is that I'm not an EU citizen and we are not married yet (only on Feb/16)

Alright! So, researching more on the posts in Danish, I have found this: http://uvm.dk/~/media/UVM/Filer/Udd/Vok ... 202011.pdf Which according to google translator (as my boyfriend is at work), states that applicants of family reunification under EU law are allowed to have Danish classes. Since the document is a bit old, I'd like to know if someone thinks this is still valid and if it can be taken into account for me, since we are not married yet.

I have a letter sent to me stating the nature of my application, so I think I'd be covered as to how to prove I'm applying under EU law. I also have a non-active CPR number. Posting the reply I've received just in case it can help someone else in the future:
"You have a right to work in Denmark only if you have EU-residence right. So the answer is, noone really knows, until Statsforvaltningen have evaluated your application for a residence card. This means, that it is risky for an employer to hire you, since it MIGHT turn out to be illegal. That could be for instance, if you can not prove, that you cohabitated with your partner for 2 years, as you state. Or if you did not move to Denmark together but eg. 6 month apart.

You are allowed to start the Danish course while waiting for the residence card to be issued"
