Hi members

For applying the Danish passport need to stayed in Dk for last 9 years. My question is
if the person stayed on different status f.ek work permit student etc so it is matter?or only need to stayed legally lasted 9 years.
Can person apply for passport some months before(completed the 9 years)? like some other types of visa application. And last the application can be submitted via post mail or online or only have to give in police station?

It only needs to be 9 years of consecutive legal stay. However there are also other requirements like language test, citizen test etc. which must be fulfilled. And right of the bat, I guess the language test might be a problem, if you still prefer to write in english?

Hi chriz,

a requirement for obtaining a Danish passport is that you speak Danish and have passed a language test.

So maybe your confusion comes from not writing here in Danish and not being fluent in English?

Hvis du gerne vil være dansk statsborger, så skal du bestå en sprogprøve på dansk. Har du gjort det?
