I have just received my residence permit and we have been reading information about the kommune's integrationsprogram. (It's a bit annoying that we had to find that information for ourselves; this is the first that we have heard about it!)
They mention that the program is an average of 37 hours per week, which is great if someone doesn't have any work and wants to learn the language as fast as possible, but I am a freelancer and travel often for work. I of course plan on signing the integrationskontrakt, but we were wondering how strict these rules are for the integrationsprogram. What does it mean, legally speaking, to sign the integrationskontrakt? Does each kommune have a different program with different requirements? If I miss a month of classes because I am traveling, will this affect me negatively?
