I am currently an Au Pair here in Norway. I just got here a month ago from Denmark ( finished my Au Pair contract in Dk ). I have a Danish boyfriend back in Denmark and now I am 1.5 months pregnant. Our plan is to get married asap. After it we will apply for a family reunification.I just have 2 questions now.

*Does the authorities will send me back home with my child after I gave birth and don't have a temporary permit or the result of the Family Reunification ?

*Is it possible for me to gave birth in Denmark without any fees except for consultations?

Once you marry, your Norwegian work visa will be cancelled and you will be asked to leave the country.

If your Danish husband fulfills the requirements, you can then apply for a Danish residence permit and obtain permission to remain in Denmark while your application is being processed. Mind you, it will be up to yourself to pay any medical bills or doctor's appointments unless you already have a private insurance that covers these costs.

It's only once the application have been approved and you have registered your address and obtained a Danish CPR number that you can use all medical facilities free of charge. Hospitals, however, don't usually charge for life threatening conditions or emergencies but if you want a CT scanning, you must pay that yourself until you have the Danish CPR number.
