Which country is your girlfriend from? And how old is she and how old are you?

What is your current status in Denmark? Are you working? Studying? Or?

It's not enough that your gf is 24 years old. You have to be minimum 24 years old too. And she has to have visited Denmark at least once in order to obtain a residence permit here. You can read the requirements for getting a residence permit by reasons of marriage to a person living in Denmark here:

In Danish: https://www.nyidanmark.dk/da-dk/Ophold/ ... tefaeller/

In English: https://www.nyidanmark.dk/en-us/coming_ ... pouses.htm

One of the fundamental requirements is, that you must have had permanent residenceship for 3 years, be a refugee or be a danish/nordic citizen. So unless you are a refugee, it will still be almost 3 years, before you can apply for family reunification.

Hej skaanebo

For the Family Reunification it was 1 more requirement that was "the person who is living in denmark must have stayed 12 years if he/she want to apply for spouse visa (as i remember it was in 2014 on the nyidenmark website)..Kan you share you idea about this 12 years stayed requirement is still valid or now it finish (2015)

You are talking about the attachment demand (tilknytningskrav). The 12 years can be shortened, if you have considerable work experience and/or has taken a danish ecudation. But as already stated you need to wait almost 3 years to even fullfill the most basic demand, which is required to be able to apply at all.

Thanks for ur replies.

I am 28 years old. I came on Green Card visa in 2009. Then I got Permanent Residence.

Is it necessary that I must be on Permanent Residence for 3 years before I and bring my wife on Family Reunification ?

Is there any other way to bring her here?

Yes it is necessary that you have had your pr for three years.

Your wife may get residence permit to study. See https://www.nyidanmark.dk/en-us/coming_ ... tudies.htm

You could have brought her as "accompanying family member", but that is to late now, because you have already applyed for and gotten permanent residence permit.

Until recently, because you were a labour immigrant and only here on a temporary residence permit, you were considered a valuable contributor to danish society, one of those who "can and will Denmark" in the words of the liberal party Venstre.

Now however, because you have permanent and therefore unconditional residence permit, you are considered by the same politicians, who invited you to come here, to be a non western immigrant from a muslim country and therefore by definition a burden to society.

Welcome to the absurdities of danish immigration policy.

This is totally rubbish. So it means i have wait 3 years to get her here. And that's the basic requirement. Who know there may be more rules.

What about those who have dependent already residing in Denmark.
I know one friend who bring his wife on dependent visa last year. He is waiting for his PR.
What happens for him after he get PR. Will his wife have to apply for Family Reunification or leave the country ?

It's a clear message from the Danish politicians: Find a spouse who already live in Denmark. Or if you wish to marry a Nepalese, move back to Nepal to live there. The Danish politicians want to limit immigration into Denmark.

Thanks for the suggestion.
I would prefer to move back and marry my GF and live happily in Nepal.
I would be more happy to live there rather than here with unknown people around

Hej to alle

¨One of the fundamental requirements is, that you must have had permanent residenceship for 3 years'' Is it same rule in Sweden if some one got PR there and want to apply for family Reunification for h/her spouse visa ?

Can you share your idea about f.ek if person got PR in dk and h/her spouse have other dependent visa f.ek as student or green card etc(and h/she not able to apply for PR because of less duration) so what will be condition for h/her visa, the dependent person must wait until h/her 5 years will complete and then apply for PR??or h/she must have to apply for family reunification(in this visa situation).
Regard

No, every country has different rules. The 3 year requirement is a pure Danish rule, so it only applies for applications to Denmark and only if you apply using national Danish laws (and not EU laws).
