Regarding Asylum and Refuge in Denmark

Hi Experts,

I am the only child of my parents. My mother is dead. My father who is 76 years old lives in India alone. Presently, he is with me in Denmark on a tourist visa. This is his fourth visit in last 6 years.

Recently, my wife who deserted me around 4+ years back and left to India to live with her parents have filed a false criminal case on me and my father in order to put pressure on me to either pay hefty money to her (a kind of extortion) or come there in India and face those cases which means I am stuck there and lose everything if not accept their conditions. I am not worried about myself as I am already a PR in Denmark and have no reason to travel to India. But I am very scared for my father because my wife's father is a very influential person and high links in the politics.
Earlier last year I had applied for my father's residence permit on the grounds of family reunification, which was turned down. I never re-appealed. Till then my wife had not put this case. But now after this criminal case put on him, I have no choice to get my father out of India whatsoever it takes.
My questions are:

1) that can I apply for assylum for my father in Denmark after his residence permit for family reunification has been rejected already last year.

2) Are these reasons good enough to consider the refuge application:

My father has left India as he genuinely fear that his life is in Danger in India. Because of the issues between me and my wife and our separation her father has implicated him in False dowry case. The situation has escalated extremely now because her father is not able to get me back to India who is a very renowned ex-employee of Supreme Court of India has threatened to take revenge. It has become a prestige issue for him and he will take revenge from us no matter what, there are nochances of compromise. I fear that as soon as he go back to India he will be arrested under the Dowry case and will be jailed on non­bailable warrants. I fear that My wife and her father will misuse all his powers against my father who is completely dependent on me, is a heart patient, suffering from moderate to advance parkinson and lives alone in India at this last part of his age and falsely implicate us under dowry case. I also fear that her father with his links can organise honour killings against my father. Honour killing is rampant in India. I I fear for life of my father and I know his life is in Danger if he goes back to India.. I
am sure that if my father goes back to India her father will misuse all his powers to implicate him and jail him. he can simply bribe the police authorities and arrest my father even at the airport and my father will not able to defend himself atall. which means that there will be no option but I will have to go to India to help my father which means I will be arrested and put in trouble aswell. I genuinely fear that further to this he will definitely use illegal means and mafia to harm me and my father or even kill us. I am now fully aware of what extent he can go to take revenge from me and my father.

Experts please guide. Only one more month is left in my father's tourist visa.

I can also give many examples on how these false cases in India ruin and the life of people and even force them to commit suicide.

It is possible for anyone to hand in an application for asylum, if they are in Denmark. And unless the case fall under the Dublin convention and is transferred to another Dublin county like Germany or France, because the person had entered there first, the application will also be processed.

However that is where the good news end. Because family conflicts can never lead to a person being granted asylum. You can only get asylum, if your risk getting persued by your own government or, in cases where the government is unable to protect its citizens, by powerfull rebel or terrorist groups like Al Quida, Taliban, Islamic State and so on.

India is a huge country. So with good reason Danish authorities will say, that there must be plenty of places, where you father can hide from his relatives. And with good reason they will also say, that it is an obligation of the indian police to protect their citizens from criminal persons persuing them. It is not an obligation for the danish government.
