hej all members and advisors and lawyers in this useful group
i really wonder how long it really takes to get an answer from swedish migrationsverket if one applies for a residence card with european laws. one month and 15 days ago i submitted an application there and a woman told me that it takes between 6 months and 10 months and few days ago i was there again and a woman checked in her system and she told me between 3 months and 6 months so i do not know who to believe anymore . if anyone knows about it or have some infos but let me be informed or if anyone who has just got a residence card under european laws in sweden please let me know . thanks in advance for reading my topic and super-thanks for answering .

Under the law they are supposed to process applications within 6 months.

In reality they are overburdened with too few resources on staff. So you might be unfortunate and have to wait 12 or even 18 months which I've heard some instances of people waiting for.

thanks for the reply sir ...i was there just few days ago and a woman asked me for my passport and i gave it to her and she checked in her computer and she says between 3 and 6 months taking in consideration the fact that i applied only one month again but in the website of migrationsverket it says 18 months ..i am really confused .
