I have asked questions here before and got wonderful answers. Now I have some more:

My husband and I recently got married and we immediately went to register me as his wife (he's an EU-member and I'm from South Africa) and we've been informed that we have to go for an interview at the end of the month.

a) What kind of questions can we expect? Obviously we don't have anything to hide but it'll be nice to know what to expect.

b) If my registration is approved and I get my registration card before my current visa expires (I'm in Denmark on a travel visa), do I have to go back to SA when my visa expires? Or does it become void when I receive my registration card?

c) How will my registration be affected if my husband changes jobs (but stays within Denmark)?

Quite random questions but applicable to our situation. Hope someone can help...

a) that I don't know - I haven't heard that there should be any such thing when you use the EU-rules.

b) the registration card just serves as proof of your RIGHT to stay. That is a right you gained the moment you and your husband said 'Yes' to being each other's spouses. In other words: you can stay in DK.

c) not at all. He may change his job as often as he wants, even stop working all together, if he should win the lottery. He just has to NOT apply for benefits under the Social Security laws.

Now I have a new question: my husband had a bad conversation with his boss and now he fears that he'll lose his job. What consequences does that have for us? From what we understand, my right to stay here is based on the fact that he has a job (and income) here. If that changes, our situation changes too, right?

Again, as long as none of you apply for social help from the local municipality, you will be fine.

Unemployment benefits from "a-kasse" is not considered social help. So if he is a member, he needs not worry.
