Regarding Dansk Prov 1 for Danish PR

Hi friends,

In few days, I will complete my 5 years of residence in Denmark. I meet all the requirements to apply for Danish Permanent Resident permit but Dansk Prov 1. Unfortunately, I could not register for the last Dansk Prov 1 exam held in Nov-Dec 2013. And, now the next one is coming in May-June 2014.

On Newtodenmark site on the page http://www.nyidanmark.dk/en-us/coming_t ... e_test.htm

they have listed many other tests that are considered equivalent to Dansk Prov 1.

Is it possible to take any of these exams voluntarily very soon? Has anybody tried any such thing?

I am already enrolled in a language center and have passed 3 modules of Udannelse 3. But my teacher said that passing modules can not be considered equivalent to prov 1.

Please suggest any wayout, because if possible, I dont want to wait till May-June to apply for my PRship.

You can apply for permanent residence permit at any time. So if you can not find a test, it is possible to take now, then just apply for a 4 year extension of your residence permit. And then when you have the proof in may-june 2014 apply for permanent residence permit. After all its only another 3-4 month to wait, so its not the end of the world

Acutally, i want to apply for PR ASAP because of some job situation. though, I already have my temporary residence permit which is valid till 2017.
But if something happens to my job then the TRP will become null and void automatically.

Understandible. But be aware that the processing time is 6-12 month, so its not a fast process anyway. And you need to be employed during the processing of the application, as this is also a requirement.
