I'm Danish, living with my African husband in Malmö, working in Copenhagen fulltime. His residence permit is according to EU-rules, obtained in Sweden.
We have been in Sweden long enough and will go back to Denmark, am about to send in the application, still according to EU-rules.
Will there in Denmark be any requirements towards my husband at all - besides the requirement of us being married/staying together - after we have moved back? Like e.g. school/Danish, is that a requirement? Or a right? (he wants to/will go, but is it required...)
After 5 years, when he's to apply for permanent residency, still married to each other and living together, will we have to worry for the application being turned down? Is there anything at all that can possibly be a problem for obtaining permanent residency? He has big confidence in Sweden, that if we applied there everything would go smooth but is very sceptical towards being approved when living in Denmark.

It is actually not a requirement, that you stay together, only that you stay in the same country. But it is a requirement, that he doesn´t represent a risk to public safety, order or health.

Yes its an offer, Denmark make to all foreigners staying here. And yes it’s a good idea to accept that offer.

Hopefully not.

Not really. But he can lose his EU residence right at any time during the first 5 years, if the two of you become an unreasonable burden for the social welfare system in Danmark. That is if you mainly live from kontanthjælp. That is also the case in Sweden, where you live now. The EU-rules are the same all over EU.

Quite understandable but not entirely justified, when we are talking about EU-rules. Since these are the same all over the EU.
