Question on work requirement

I was reading the New in Denmark page on the work requirement for PR.

Right now, I work in Denmark so all is well. However, I was wondering about something though, as I saw a job posting of interest recently, for a company in Sweden which is offering a job in Denmark. So, if I work for a company based in Sweden but the work is in Copenhagen, (not sure if is is DK or SE payroll-does that matter?), does that count to meet the requirement for the permanent residency?

The work need to be in Denmark or as part of an employment in Denmark. And to count as being "in Denmark" it need to be danish payroll not swedish. So yes this will matter. If it is swedish payroll (place of employment being in Sweden), you are probably not even allowed to carry out the work without first obtaining a swedish work permit.

So perhaps your question is of a purely hypothetical nature.

Thanks for your reply. Yes, it is purely hypothetical as I work full-time in Denmark on a Danish payroll right now. I just happened to see this other job and figured I would check on the rules before putting in the time on an application. So I guess I won't be doing that!
