Covered under Danish Health Insurance

Ok I have been following some of the posts but just want someone to clear something up for me :)

Since my husband is Danish and works in Denmark(full time) will I be covered under his health insurance and be able to get the European heath insurance card? Is this all we need to prove that we have health insurance coverage for me and him? Also does it matter that I have health insurance coverage here in the states that covers me while I am abroad as well?

Should we have problems with this when we apply for family reunification through EU law? Is there something else that we should do insurance wise so as to not run into trouble?

Thanks !

Thanks for your reply,

I have been reading up on the problems that people have had with this insurance situation..

Will I get able to be registered with a person number being covered by the EHIC ? I am reading about posts that state that this is not possible? What does that mean then? My husband has a very nice job in Denmark and it would be crazy for him to find work here.. do I need to find work before I can be registered with a person number? If the migration board grants me right of residence do I still risk being deported even though I cant get a person number ?

Also if it wasn't clear before we are planning on moving to Sweden... does this change the previous answers from above ?

Thanks !
