I have been married to my danish wife for 2 years and 8 months and over the past 2 months we have come to a point where we are going to get divorced. I know that when we file for seperation there is six months to a year before we can get a divorce. This is not my choice but we have tried therapy and this seemed to push us futher apart. I have been employed full time for the past 2 years and passed my danish language course. I just recieved my new opholdstilladelse for 2 more years and i have been in Denmark for almost 4 years now.

What are my options?

It depends quite a lot on whether you have any children, whose other parent is living in DK, and with whom both parents are frequently together.

For example if you have children from this marriage, and you will be either living with them or seeing them at least 2-3 days every 2 weeks.

Also on your nationality, and on what kind of job it is you have.
