If sweden does not work out, I suggest getting married in Georgia (the country).

There you only need your passport to get married, my wife and I did that, and now live in Denmark on family reunification.

I assume one of you are non-eu in that case what documents you need to apply for a tourist visa for georgia?

Generally that isn't needed for georgia, read on their website, they have on-arrival visas you can "buy" at the airport, they didn't ask we did that though, we got in without a visa.

Not too many years ago, I heard they gave wine to visitors in the airport.

If you have a booking for a hotel to show them at the airport, that's really all you need, they really want tourists.

They are not a very -by the book- kind of country.

How long ago you been there? I checked there webiste and tried to get a tourist visa and it requires invitation, health insurance, tickets both way before hand. As for Iraqi citizens they need visa and they also need a Schengen visa to apply for a tourist visa. Please let me know what was your case when you been there.

Seems like they have gotten a e-visa portal now. That should make it easier for you to apply no?

Of course you need travel insurance and all that, but they never checked ours in the airport. But maybe they will with you.

Just behave like a tourist, book a hotel, get travel insurance, go on the e-visa I'm sure you'll get it.

Normally I'd not trust wiki on all of this, it's not always up to date.

Hi just to chip in alil help.
Yes you can get that unmarried document from denmark since you have been here that long.
I did get one some years back. All you need to do is to go to the kommune where you residing and ask them to help you get one. It takes no time and they will give it to you. I got it in no time
But if it should delay, a day or three should be max.
Go explain it to your kommune. Let them know u need it to marry in Sweden. They will help you or vil direct you where incase they cant. They are helpful. There are alot af people here in denmark parat to help.
