Family reunification under eu law in Denmark

Hi im wannna get some information about the steps what we need to do after we get married in denmark.



Im from eu country Hungary and my bride from the Philippines,

We are planing to get married on January shes an aupair im living and working in Denmark 2 years ago, inhave full time contract, we have the papers and legalisated/translated both paper,

Im just know few information about the upcomming steps, like:

- get married in the kommune
- she need report the marriage and stop from her aupair contract
- family reunification
- resident permit
- fill out some papers in the police

Im just need more detailed informations

what is the requirements about the family reunification, what i need to provide? When we applied for the resident permit she can stay with me or she need to go home ? How we can travel after we married like US with esta or uk or another countries where she need visa but for me not? She can learn free in the university like me ?

Im will very happy any extra and detailed information from everybody!

You do NOT go to the police, go directly to Statsforvaltningen, as it is responsible for EU-residence.

An EU-citizen has a right to have his/her spouse with him/her, so NO, she does not have to go home.

When we married she can travel with me everywhere where i doesnt need visa ? Like im just need esta in the states ?

No, she can only travel within the schengen area once she has obtained a valid residence card.

Ahh ok and she can travel with me in europe when we get the resident permit. How many months takes the familyreunification ?
