Hi all
I have one question regarding PR. till last November i have worked 34 months work part time full time together. from Nov to Feb 1st i was unemployed.from Feb 2 i have started masters in DTU and by June i will be finishing 30 ECTs. do US count it as a 6 months work?
in Nyidanmark they mentioned 60 ECTs count as a 1 yr work.so in that case 30 ECTs count as 6 month work? this is a bit out of box situation.since i have to make 36 months to apply for PR in June i am finding options.i would like to apply before next government comes.

Re: permanent residence
Yes I think so. The text at Nyidanmark does not mention any minimum amount of ECTs, you must have, before they can be converted to "points" towards permanent residenceship. So presumably 20 ECTs can be converted to 4 month of work, 40 ECTs to 8 month of work and so on.govindudu skrev:in Nyidanmark they mentioned 60 ECTs count as a 1 yr work.so in that case 30 ECTs count as 6 month work?
It takes a while for new law proposals to be written and go though the parliamentary process. So its nok like new rules can be in effect by october, if we have election in september.
But that being said, I think it is a prudent move to prepare for more strict requirements for permanent residenceship, if the current polls are translated into an election result. So yes if you fullfill the requirements, then just send an application as soon as possible
Re: permanent residence
I fulfill all other requirements but i am a bit concerned about work. Since my part time+fultime together coming around 32 to 33 months and after that i am just studying.
so i just want to make sure that i have right number of work. if they calculate my 30 ECTs as 6 months work then i am done. Immigration don't have clear description about it.they just mentioned 2 yr studies+ 1 yr work or 3 yrs studies or 3 yrs work. not clearly explained about other cases like mine.

Re: permanent residence
Please remember that the 3 years of full time work, or equivalent part time work or study need to be within the last 5 years at the time of application. Depending on when you had periods with unemployment, this might be rather important for you.
