Here is a summary of my queries:
1. Is it possible to get family reunification if my Danish partner received 'public assistance' in the last 3 years?
2. Is it possible to get SU while on a family reunification visa?
3. Are KU language courses at level 2 and 3 equivalent to the A1 and A2 tests?
I am an Australian married to a Dane.
I am in the process of applying for family reunification.
I am a little worried about my prospects as my wife received money from the kommune when she returned to Denmark from doing her masters here in Australia in 2013 and was unable to find work for about 6 months.
I am wondering what my prospects will be in getting family reunification due to this?
Another query I am having is that I will be a recent graduate when I arrive in Denmark. I am actively trying to find work now, however I am not very positive about my prospects of finding work straight away. I am not excited about the prospect of sitting at home sending out applications all day watching my savings slowly dwindle away for 6 months.
I am contemplating getting my masters in Law but would require SU in order to survive.
I have read in other forum posts here (that were posted a couple of years ago) that it is possible to get SU while on the family reunification visa, however I just wanted to confirm if this is still the case now?
I also have completed the following language courses while I was on exchange at KU. (they were done at KU but I believe that they were administered through the Sprogcenter.
HDFB00121E Oral Proficiency 3;
HDFB00122E Written Proficiency 3;
HDFB00111E Oral Proficiency 2; and
HDFB00112E Written Proficiency 2.
I can't seem to confirm if these would be equivalent to the A-1 or A-2 tests?
I did find this, https://www.retsinformation.dk/Forms/R0 ... ?id=145602, however I am not sure if the courses I have done are covered here.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated
