Tourist Visa & dept to Udbetaling Danmark
Dear All,
I had hoped to marry my child's mother, but she does not want to. I come from East Afrika so it is far away in order to see my child. So I worry about the future.
Would I be able to get a tourist visa in the future to see my child? The grand parents here in Denmark are willing to invite me.
So far I have not paid for the child and the mother has notified Udbetaling Danmark. If I get a debt to them, will the damage my change to visit my son in Denmark in the future?
Desperate

Re: Tourist Visa & dept to Udbetaling Danmark
East Africa is a region, not a state - there are up to 22 states which belong there.
Some are considered 'asylum countries', meaning there is very little chance of getting a visa for anyone else than the spouse/partner, child or parent of the inviting party, others are 'immigrant countries' where there also has to be a rather closer connection than 'father of my grandchild', and finally some are 'tourist countries' where you may not even need an invitation from a person in DK, so in order to get an answer to whether the grandparents of your child can invite you successfully, you will have to be more specific.
Debt to Udbetaling Danmark should not be a hindrance.

So, my question is this;
Is it best that the grandparents of MY child invite me on a tourist visa or that the mother of my child. We are not together, but close friends.

I very much doubt that the grandparents of your child can invite you successfully.
The relationship has to be much closer for a Ugandan to get visa: spouse, partner, girl-/boyfriend, child + child's spouse, parent + parent's spouse, sibling + sibling's spouse.
Grandparents of your child is not even close to being on the list.
It is possible that your ex-girlfriend can invite you in the name of your common child, since she is the child's guardian and the child too young to invite (under 18 yrs.) his/her other parent.

Okay, thanks..
That Means in order to be sure to get the visa... it is better that she acts as my girl-friend Again?
What about Barnets Tarv?

It is NEVER a good idea to lie when applying for visa.
She can invite you in the name of the child, and yes, the welfare of the child can be cited as a reason for the invite.

Re: Tourist Visa & dept to Udbetaling Danmark
Unless the applicant have had previous breaches of immigration law, overstays or asylum applications, it is pretty obvious, that the possibility of the child to see one of its parents is as good a reason to issue a visa, as they get.

Thank you to fundiver199 and mh.
No, I agree. A person should never lie on an application or in general. These Things always come back to you in some form or another.
I am very HAPPY to hear that I can get a visa to come and visit my child in the future, cause it is a nightmare having to leave him behind.
Sometimes from reading the questions from other people, you get the impression that Young men from third World countries almost do not have a chance /-.
