Non EU living with EU member in Denmark

Indlæg af sunshine105 » 12.03.2014 23:07:44

Hello
I am a non-eu member married to an eu member in 2012. we are both living and working in Denmark legally.(under eu law)
My situation presently is that, i am pregnant for him but wants to get a divorce because he beats me even while i am pregnant.
I would like to know what becomes of me if i mange to get a divorce?
Would my residence card (5yrs) be revoked?
Would I be asked to leave Dk though pregnant for him?

PS
I would also like to know what would have been the child¨s nationality if i happen to give birth here in Dk while we have different nationalities.

Thanks in advance.

It doesn't matter where you give birth. The child will be Danish and most likely your nationality as well, so a dual citizen.

If you have been married for 3 years and have lived in the host country Denmark for a minimum of 12 months you will have gained rights similar to being an EU citizen.

If you can remain in Denmark after a divorce will also depend on whether you work in Denmark.
