Indlæg af kawkaw » 07.11.2013 03:43:16

Hello

we are danish/foreign couple and we are planning to move to sweden and apply for resident permit there and we need to know what we have to do step by step, in this moment we are still looking for apartment, my danish husband is on welfare, Is it a problem if he doesn't have a job? ( but he will look for job in sweden)

Now I am in denmark, I come here on visa short stay that will expire the end of january and we hope that we will find apartment soon so we can move to sweden first january and then start the process, we don't know exactly what we have to do and how much time it will take, so I appreciate if someone help us

thank you

You can read about that under "rådgivning", "flytte til Sverige/EU-land". Unfortunatly only in danish. But presumably your spouse speak danish, so he can help you translate it. English translation of the entire web-page is in progress but not yet completed.

In the meantime, you can also read about EU-Citizens rights including the free movement here:

ÆUG is for people with connection to Denmark, so information must first and foremost be in Danish.

The foreigners with a Danish partner, who seek information here, can mostly be expected to ask their Danish partner to translate the necessary information from ÆUG. After all, the two of them must have a common language with which they communicate, and it is not necessarily English. Please do bear in mind that no-one in ÆUG gets paid for the work done, each and everyone is a volunteer
