Re: work in dk
In principle you can, but it might be very difficult to find an employer who will take the risk.
The thing is, if for some reason you do not fulfill the conditions for getting a residence card, you will have been working illegally and both your employer and you will be fined - your employer with a substantial fine.

actually i got a so called job which i can work but problem is that they told me i can start there until i get my answer.but here is some question:
if i start working there do i need to inform immigration board on that?
what would be the fine for me if i can not fulfill the condition?
can i start working without informing immigraton board and if i do so what will happen?
thank u so much.

Re: work in dk
The size of the fine depends on the nature of the crime. If you are the only one illegally employed it would be from 10.000 kr. up for the employer.
It is not the immigration board you should be worried about, it is the inland revenue - the hardest, toughest and most unforgiving opponent you can come across. Avoiding tax is a serious thing, and paying it correctly when you don't have your cpr.number yet is almost impossible.

Uhm, actually prison - again depending on the nature of the crime.
Therefore the advice is to not take employment - including voluntary, unpaid - unless you are absolutely certain that your right to a residence card cannot be contested.
