Hi,
I am a Belgian national who will move to Denmark to work. My non-eu married partner will move with me. Will my partner automatically get the right to work from the moment we arrive and I start working? Or de we have to wait until the residence application is processed?
Kind regards,
Stefan

Re: Working in Denmark while waiting for the application to be processed.
According to EU laws, your partner has the right to work once he/she has submitted the application for a residence card at Statsforvaltningen.
In practise, however, you will need to obtain a CPR number or a samordensnummer at Borgerservice or from the tax office (samordensnummer).

Thank you.
And would we be able to get those before the application is processed? We already lived in two other EU countries UK and Germany and have gotten the residence card without any problems.
