Does tavelling back home after submitting my family reunification hurt my chances?

Indlæg af Vivi3254 » 09.10.2017 20:27:39

Hello good people,
Thank you for your time and effort helping others through thus forum.
I have recently gotten married (Sept 25) and submitted my family reunification papers with my now Danish husband on the 29th Sept. I have called the immigration and one police to confirm if my travel back home while my papers are on process CAN affect my chances of getting the residency permit. They both said it CANNOT. I am however worried and unsure if this is truly the case or as i have heard from other people that you can be denied visa on grounds of "marriage of convenience " if I travel without my husband for a month or two.
Has anyone any idea about this and how much "me travelling" can impact my being granted permit?

Your response is highly appreciated.

I have never heard that it could have any impact whatsoever, if the foreign spouse chooses to go home, arrange his/her affairs and perhaps continue with his/her job during the sometimes many months the process takes.

What usually triggers suspicion of marriage of convinience is: very short pre-history before marriage, more than 10 years age gap, no language in which both spouses are reasonably fluent and being from a family that has ‘exported’ several members before.
