Travel abroad

Hello everyone!
I just want to ask regarding travelling abroad.
My visa for permanent residency in Sweden is still on process, I am planning to spend Christmas in the Philippines, do you guys have an idea if i can travel outside Sweden while my visa is on process?

You can always leave but in order to return you will need to have a valid visa or residence permit in place.
