Supplementing courses international degree
Hey, My wife is looking to apply for university here in Denmark. But with her Indonesian degree she needs 1 year of supplementary education at university level. I was just wondering if anyone has done this here in Denmark or has some information about it, preferably in English. We've found a few sup...

Re: Permanent EU residence for family member
Okay thank you. So it's only for unemployment benefits and that kind of social support?
One more question. If my wife is to apply for citizenship later, does SU and parental leave benefits not matter as well?

Permanent EU residence for family member
Hello, My wife recently got her residence card as a family member (I'm Swedish and in Denmark registered as working). I was just wondering if there's anything we should avoid to make sure she will get the permanent residence permit after 5 years. For example will either one of us taking maternity le...

Re: MATERNITY LEAVE
I would be extremely careful with these benefits. The nurse is not a lawyer and she might recommend a benefit that stops you from getting your residence renewed. And remember: all of these benefits are available to you. If you walk to the commune you step out receiving them. It's not like they are ...

Re: EU Laws: Rights of the non-EU spouse while waiting
What's the specific paragraph that allows those waiting for a residence card the right to a temporary CPR number? Sorry but I can't find it.

Re: Questions regarding family reunification (EU rules)
Went to the Indonesian embassy in Copenhagen afterwards to talk to them. They said that they are also allowed to legalize marriages and gave us contacts to authorized translators to use. The woman at Statsforvaltningen however, never mentioned this as an option. The people at the embassy said they c...

Re: Questions regarding family reunification (EU rules)
We had to send in documents proving our marriage is legal and valid in Indonesia (marriage certificate, or in this case a marriage book), and also copy of both our passports. And we also had to fill out a form with questions regarding who attended the ceremony to make sure we were both there, signed...

Re: Questions regarding family reunification (EU rules)
Just got back from Statsforvaltningen and they wouldn't accept our marriage registration from Skatteverket. We got married in Indonesia but afterwards registered the marriage at Skatteverket so that we are legally married and registered in Sweden as well. Today we brought a print of my Familjebevis ...

Re: Questions regarding family reunification (EU rules)
It won't be any problems with my wife applying for the residence permit if she's got a Schengen-visa issued to Sweden right?

Re: Questions regarding family reunification (EU rules)
Okay so you mean that first we send in her application for residence card, and while it's being processed we register her at Folkeregistret?

Okay thank you. But for registering at Folkeregistret she doesn't need the CPR-number or residence card right?

Thanks a lot, really appreciate it!
Okay well for the card then, is the checklist correct or does anything else need to be done?
