Hello,
My wife recently got her residence card as a family member (I'm Swedish and in Denmark registered as working). I was just wondering if there's anything we should avoid to make sure she will get the permanent residence permit after 5 years. For example will either one of us taking maternity leave benefits or her getting SU endanger her chances of getting it renewed?
I've looked at Statsforvaltningens website but it doesn't really mention anything besides me having to be in constant employment for 5 years.
Thanks,
Patrik

No, none of the benefits mentioned will endanger getting a permanent residence card.

Okay thank you. So it's only for unemployment benefits and that kind of social support?
One more question. If my wife is to apply for citizenship later, does SU and parental leave benefits not matter as well?

Yes.
SU is not a social benefit, it’s a scholarship, so it won’t have any influence on an application for citizenship. Neither should parental leave.
