working in India while visiting once a month

I am a permanent residence holder in Denmark, got an offer from one of the biggest companies in Denmark, but job offer with local India ltd. I have to work from India and visit once or twice to Denmark on work. Salary will be paid in India. can I keep my residence hear in Denmark like that without applying for dispensation?

It depends on how many days a year you will be in Denmark for and if you want to keep your residence in Denmark. You might also look into if India and Denmark has any tax agreements as you might otherwise have to pay Danish tax on your income from India.

Basically i visit Denamark once or twice a month. I have found that India and Denmark has tax agreement with India, so one only pays at one place. Since i stay more than 182 days in a year in India, i am obligated to pay tax in India. I asked Udlændingestyrelsen,they told me that i have to apply for dispensation.One of my doubt is, do i need to apply for dispensation even though i visit Denmark atleast monthly once? One thing is clear that i have to maintain CPR all the time. Since my family stays here so i won't be having any problem with CPR.

I think you misunderstand the concept of cpr number. It will remain with you all your life whether you live in Denmark or abroad.

If your family will remain in Denmark and you will visit them regularly every month, there is a possibility that you might be able to keep your address registered in Denmark. You might ask borgerservice on advice on this.

The main rule is, you lose your Danish residence permit, if you are absent for more than 12 month. And your absense is not interrupted by a short holiday visit in Denmark, after 12 month you need to move back and live here again.

Dispensation can be granted, but not for more than 4 years. If you lose your residence permit, you need to start all over again, if you want to move back to Denmark at some time in the future.

Yes i think i understood it. I can stay out of Denmark 12 moths without applying for dispensation,for more than that period i need to apply for dispensation. All this period,i need to maintain my registered address in Denmark. Then how my case will be treated? if i am visiting once every month and maintain my address all the period within first 12 months.if i feel i can do that job further,then i can apply for dispensation. how it will affect my citizenship? does this period will be counted towards 9 yr residence.i have already resided in Denmark 7,5 yrs.

Long periods outside of Denmark will not count towards citizenship in Denmark. So if you choose to work in India, you cannot claim that same period of time as having resided in Denmark although you have been able to keep your address registered due to family being left behind in Denmark.

So if you wish to obtain Danish citizenship and if you wish it as soon as possible, it's not advicable for you to work in India.

Yeah i am well aware of those things. I am thinking to work for a year without affecting my visa status. Ofcourse this will make my citizenship process further delayed a year. Just thinking of using opportunity for career building but it is a huge gamble.

Yeah, it is a gamble. And I, personally, wouldn't gamble with Udlændingestyrelsen. They might come with weird laws in the future that might make your citizenship process more painful because you have lived abroad. Go figure.
